Looks like another Arsenal player will be making his exit from the Emirates, as Lucas Pérez has been sent out on loan to Deportivo de La Coruña for the remainder of the season, according to Marca.
Reports state that Depor paid a €4 million fee to nab the Spanish forward and will also be paying a significant amount of his wages.
Pérez was very vocal about wanting to return to his hometown club, and said that Arsenal had various offers to send him elsewhere. However, he persuaded the club that the only move he wanted was a return home.
Since joining the Gunners last year for a £17.1 million fee, the 28-year-old Pérez has not featured much for the Premier League side.
All of last season, the forward managed only 21 appearances for Arsenal and found the back of the net seven times, although only once in Premier League play.
Pérez’s career got a start with the second reserve team at Atlético Madrid before he joined Rayo Vallecano in 2009.
After a two-year stint at Rayo, the Galician-born player played his football in the Ukraine with Karpaty Lviv before joining PAOK.
While at PAOK, Pérez was sent out on loan to his hometown club of La Coruña and managed to make over 50 appearances and scoring 24 goals for Depor.
Now the man from A Coruña will make his homecoming and hopes that the familiar surroundings will produce a better form in play.
