The MLS hotshot Miguel Almiron has emerged as a January target for Arsenal.

Gunners were linked with a move for the Paraguay starlet during summer but failed to complete a deal and Unai Emery is reportedly ready to sanction a fresh approach for the 24-year-old.

Atlanta United rebuffed interest from Arsenal, West Ham and Newcastle due to the MLS club’s unwillingness to sell until 2019 but it would now appear that the Gunners have been identified as frontrunners for Almiron’s signature.

The Atlanta United president Darren Eales hinted a move to Emirates in on the cards by claiming that “Almiron’s future is already decided”.

“He will go to England in the European winter market,” Eales told FOX Deportes USA.

Almiron has been in superb for Atlanta United this season, already netting 12 and assisting further 13 goals in the MLS.

Having singlehandedly helped Atlanta soar to the summit of the MLS Eastern Conference, Almiron appears well prepared for the next challenge in his career.
