Reports coming from British press have it that Premier League top-four hopefuls Arsenal are making a move on Corinthians midfielder Maycon.
The 20-year-old is emerging as one of the hottest talents in Brazilian football and is already being linked with a move to European football.
Serie A heavyweights Napoli have also been linked with the Corinthians starlet but The Sun claims that Arsenal made a concrete move to position themselves as frontrunners in the race for his signature.
Brazilian side are said to be demanding around £9 million for their player and will ask for Maycon to arrive at Corinthians as a loaned player before moving to England.
Maycon has impressed Arsenal scouts who watched the exciting Brazilian on a number of occasions during last year.
