Arsenal Keen on Kalidou Koulibaly

Arsenal may have had a fast-paced winter as far as transfer dealings are concerned but the Gunners are still very much out of top-four sight, sitting in sixth in the Premier League standings, eight points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.

Arsene Wenger is ware he will need to boost his squad more in order to get involved in the title race and top-spot finish next season and is prepared to sanction another big move to bolster his ranks – in defense above all.

Gunners did well to boost their squad with Alexandre Lacazette last summer, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this winter but Wenger is now looking to reinforce his backline.

Reports from Italy have it that French boss has set sights on former Chelsea target and current Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Arsenal representatives are said to have been in attendance for Napoli’s Europa League clash against RB Leipzig where they checked up on the Senegal defender.

Koulibaly has been one of the most important players for Partenopei this season, helping them to 14 clean sheets in the Serie A.
